Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and buzzme space, the developer that publishes BUZZER on Google Play. By creating an account or using BUZZER you accept them, together with our Privacy Policy.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to accept these terms. BUZZER does not collect your date of birth; the age gate is a confirmation you make yourself.

What BUZZER is

BUZZER provides fictional AI companions for conversation. Companions are not people, therapists, clinicians, medical devices, emergency services, or substitutes for professional care. AI output can be wrong, incomplete, biased or inappropriate, and it is not professional advice.

Emergencies and high-stakes decisions

Do not use BUZZER for emergency response, monitoring, diagnosis, treatment, prescriptions, or medical, legal, financial or other high-stakes decisions. If anyone may be in immediate danger, contact local emergency services and a trusted person nearby. The app links to crisis resources; it cannot monitor your safety or send help.

Acceptable use

You may not use BUZZER to break the law; exploit or sexualise minors; harass, threaten or abuse anyone; seek self-harm or dangerous instructions; evade security, quotas or payment; reverse engineer protected services; automate abusive traffic; or infringe anyone’s rights. If a companion says something offensive or harmful, please report it in the app: press and hold the message, or use the flag during a call.

Accounts

An account is required, created with an email address and password or with Google Sign-In. Keep your credentials secure; you are responsible for activity under your account. Tell us at [email protected] if you believe your account has been used without your permission. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, or where that is necessary to protect users, providers or the service.

Tokens, free allowance and purchases

• BUZZER includes a free weekly allowance of text tokens and voice minutes. It resets weekly and does not roll over.
• Beyond the allowance, use is metered in tokens: text by the tokens a reply uses, live voice by call time.
• Token packs are consumable in-app products sold through Google Play. Google Play is the merchant of record and processes payment; we never receive your card details.
• Tokens have no cash value, are not a stored-value or payment instrument, cannot be exchanged for money, and cannot be transferred between accounts except where the app expressly provides for it. They are used up as you use the service and do not expire while your account is active.
• Refunds follow Google Play’s refund policy and any rights you have under law that cannot be waived. Contact [email protected] first and we will try to resolve the problem.
• Prices and token rates may change; changes apply only to future purchases. Deleting your account forfeits unused tokens, and so may closing an account for a breach of these terms, to the extent the law allows.

Availability

We may limit or block access to protect users, providers and the service. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free availability, and live voice depends on third-party services that may be unavailable.

Your content

You are responsible for what you submit, and you should avoid sharing unnecessary personal information or anyone else’s information. You keep ownership of what you write. You give us the limited, non-exclusive permission needed to transmit and process your content solely to run the service and return the response you asked for, including sending it to the providers listed in the Privacy Policy. We do not use your conversations to train AI models.

Intellectual property

The BUZZER software, branding and original content belong to buzzme space or its licensors. These terms give you a limited, revocable, non-transferable right to use the app for personal purposes. Companion names, personalities and portraits are fictional; any resemblance to a real person is coincidental. The app includes the Inter and Cormorant Garamond typefaces under the SIL Open Font License; the licences can be viewed in the app.

Disclaimers and liability

To the extent the law allows, BUZZER is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, or for losses caused by AI output you rely on. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law, or takes away rights you have as a consumer under the law of the country where you live.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the country where buzzme space is established, without depriving you of the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of the country where you live. You may bring a claim in the courts of the country where you live.

Ending, changes and contact

You may stop using BUZZER at any time, erase local data from Safety and privacy, and delete your account in the app or as described on our account deletion page. We may update these terms; we will update the date at the top and give notice in the app where the law requires it. Contact: buzzme space, [email protected].
